Over the past year, WOZER has grown its community and connected with more skateboarders, musicians, and artists throughout Aotearoa and across the world. With gigs, fundraisers, skate workshops, and a growing network of skate groups and artists, you could say it’s been pretty busy since our last issue.
In this edition, we want to share the stories, art, and events we’ve been so lucky to be a part of, as well as extend the biggest thank you to everyone who contributed to this project and made it possible! Starting as a small group of friends here in Pōneke, it’s amazing to see how much our group has grown over the past few years. By maintaining an open-door policy for anyone who wants to contribute, we’ve learned everything from how to connect with as many people as possible to how to squeeze everyone into someone’s lounge for a group meeting. With all the challenges in the world, this journey has reminded us of the importance of our communities and the strength that comes from our connections to one another.
We hope everyone who has been a part of this issue—and everyone who picks up this magazine—enjoys all the work and love that has gone into it!
